I apply roughly 32 gallons per acre of liquid fertilizer, which comes to around 299.327L per hectare. The liquid fertilizer tanks hold 450 US gallons or around 1703L (Liquid.) Each row unit holds around 3 bushel, or 1268.64L in metric total between 12 rows. Real world, seed and fertilizer rates vary, but almost always use more fertilizer than seed, and sometimes a lot more. In the game world, it appears that seeders able to use both fertilizer and seed use more seed, so this planter ends up being totally out of whack by comparison So for those who are wondering why the fertilizer to seed capacity is so far out of whack, need to realize that this planter is basing specs from a real world planter. Could not find the sweet spot for the seed tender to work with seed. I used this planter for the first time tonight, able to fill fertilizer fine but seems it only wants to fill out of bulk bags. Some testing is required here, but I'm pretty confident the Tempo would finish the field before it needed refiling with seed, and even if it didnt it would take less seed than the Horsch did. I recently did field 10 on Felsbrunn with the Horsch I had a pass and a bit to compleat when it ran out. Even with the lower capacity, the Tempo would cut down the work load.
Compare that with the Horsch which is a 9m and has 400l more seed capacity, the 12m would still win out due to that 3m extra working width. In terms of putting seed down in the ground, its a 12m planter. or B) £11,5l of fert every time the machine needs filling? A) £18l of seed, with 400l left over, every time the machine needs a refill. Let me ask you this, what would you rather pay for with this machine. In terms of cost efficiency, it is efficient.
Since 50% of fertilizer in the tank will never be used, it doesn't have enough seed.
