Humans ARE the nephalem, just with their power removed/sealed off by Inarius using the Worldstone after he banished Lilith. Inarius and the other angels and demons who joined them on sanctuary were the one who feared the nephalem and wanted to kill them, not the humans. But this is saying they are ALL her children, so it doesn't track for me.
So, Lilith and Inarius ended up getting into it because humanity feared the nephalem would attract angels and demons to sanctuary and wanted to kill them to prevent that. We'll see just how deadly when Diablo IV releases in June - we hope to see you in Sanctuary!
